PUPILS at Stanley Primary School have been left without hot meals this week as the kitchen was closed off due to water intake.

Water has been flooding into the kitchen area from the roof for the last eight weeks but on Monday it had to be completely shut down as bad weather caused water to get into the electrics.

One Saltcoats resident told the Herald: "It is a complete disgrace that these young children won't be able to have any hot meals, especially during the winter.

"Builders and the council need to get their fingers out and get it sorted."
