MSP VISIT TO ST ANTHONY'S PRIMARY

TEN-YEAR-OLD Megan Manfredini from Saltcoats is exactly the same age as the Scottish Parliament - and a leading MSP joined Megan, her family and classmates at St Anthony's to announce the tenth anniversary celebration plans.

Following a lesson about the Parliament at Megan's primary school, dad Gino Manfredini wrote to ask if the Parliament was intending to do anything to mark its birthday.

And on Monday, Presiding Officer Alex Fergusson MSP went to the Saltcoats school to launch a special programme celebrating Holyrood's tenth anniversary.
