BIRDWATCHERS flocked to Saltcoats on Sunday after an eagle-eyed resident spotted a rare group of exotic birds.

More than half a dozen bird enthusiasts made their way to the High Road armed with binoculars and cameras, as over 60 Bombycillia Garrulus, more commonly knows as Wax Wings, took advantage of the abundant supply of red berries.
