It was a 45 minute circuit class with Sadie the personal trainer this week. Aptly named Sadie's circuits! I arrived a bit early so decided I would pop into the gym before the class. After 15 minutes on the cross trainer and 15 minutes on the treadmill I was sweating up a storm and a little bit knackered. Got some water chilled out for five minutes then went in for the class. Advice - do not go to the gym for half an hour before a circuit class. This class was extremely fast paced and non-stop for 45 minutes. I was crawling out the door! The good news is that you get a full, all over body workout. It was fantastic. You spend one minute on each part of the circuit which is set up in a circle round the squash court. After a warm up we all found a station and it began. Several different stations were set up, some for getting the heart rate up and others for toning various parts of the body. Everyone can do this class though because Sadie does show easier alternatives if you're not quite fit enough to go full pelt. This was good because it meant there was no pressure and I was able to do as much as I wanted without killing myself! I probably could have done more if I hadn't been to the gym beforehand. At least I'll know for next week....
