Action from Beith's ground-breaking win at Petershill

LEVEL-headed BEITH JUNIORS manager John Millar is still downplaying his team's Stagecoach Super League title chances despite extending their unbeaten run to FIFTEEN games.

But he says securing six points from their next two games will see them take a giant stride towards winning the top honour for the first time.

Bookmakers William Hill have installed the Bellsdale Park side, who ended a jinx by securing their first victory at Petershill, as 11-4 on to land the Premier Division crown with Auchinleck Talbot the next closest favourites at 9/4.

The Bellsdale Park gaffer is now looking to defeat Pollok for a second time at home on Saturday and then win at basement team Vale of Clyde seven days later to maintain the title charge.
