Residents claim pet is terrorising neighbourhood

RESIDENTS who live near a dog they claim has been terrorising their neighbourhood are asking police for their help in removing it.

The rottweiler has attacked several dogs in Longbar and residents claim that it is left to run wild.

One woman who witnessed the rottweiler attack another dog last Wednesday says steps need to be taken to have it removed.

She told the Herald: 'The dog has escaped from the owner's garden on several occasions and it is only a matter of time before it bites a child or attacks an adult.

'It has been terrorising the area for too long and is continually attacking other dogs."
