PUPILS at Glengarnock Primary School had to take cover after a huge swarm of bees took up residence in their playground.
The bees stopped off at a fir tree in the school grounds while apparently on the move from their hive.
'It was a very interesting experience for the pupils, although obviously we had to keep them away from the bees in case anyone was stung,' the school"s Lorna Rennie said.
'The bees arrived suddenly and just settled down on the tree. It was quite a sight.
