Kilbirnie gardeners go green

PEOPLE from Kilbirnie and the surrounding area will have the chance to try out their green fingers at a new project - the Green Gym, based at Radio City.

The gym, funded by NHS Ayrshire and Arran, is a partnership between the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV), Bridgend Community Centre, Radio City and the Kilbirnie Allotment Group.

Grace Moore MBE, assistant director of Public Health for NHS Ayrshire and Arran said: "This project shows people that there are alternatives to taking part in sports or going to the gym to keep fit."
