Social club may close

THE Garnock Labour Social Club has declared it is suffering financial difficulties which could lead to its closure.

A Special General Meeting was held on January 10 to notify its members about its serious financial position and discuss the future of the Club.

After a long debate the 81 members present made the decision to submit an application to the charity regulator requesting the Club be registered as a charitable trust, and it be made into a community facility.
