A TEENAGER who boasted to his pals as he sparked a £5million chemical plant blaze has been locked up for 18 months.
The youngster - who was just 14 at the time - triggered a full emergency in one of Scotland"s biggest fires.
More than 70 firefighters with 20 fire trucks battled the inferno as barrels of chemicals exploded around them.
The blaze at the former ICI plant in Ardeer, sent flames more than 100ft into the air and could be seen 10 miles away.
The youngster, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted wilful fireraising last September.
