A THREE-YEAR-OLD boy had a lucky escape after he was knocked down in a busy Ardrossan street.

The youngster, who was with his mum at the time, ran into the path of the X36 Garnock Valley bus in Princes Street last Friday.

One witness told the Herald: "The wee boy just let go of the pram and ran straight across the road and the poor bus driver couldn't do anything about it."
