SALTCOATS residents were out in their droves tonight (Thursday) after a fire broke out in a chippy in the town.
Smoke was seen billowing from the Station Restaurant in Countess Street at around 8.30pm.
Fire appliances from Ardrossan and Kilwinning were quickly on scene to tackle the blaze.
