Thumbs up to develop eyesore pub
ARDROSSAN town centre"s ongoing regeneration has been given top priority by North Ayrshire Council, who this week threw their weight behind the renovation of the Jack Miller"s eyesore in Princes Street.
The Irvine Bay urban regeneration company are behind a half-million-pound restoration project which will transform the once-thriving hotel, whose delapidated state has long been an embarrassment to the town, as regeneration goes ahead in leaps and bounds elsewhere.
'This is a key site in the town centre which, if delivered, would generate significant economic and environmental benefits,' council leaders heard in a report to the recent meeting of the NAC Executive, where the hotel was described as 'a visual blight'.
