Hammer blow to drugs menace as police launch Three Towns raids
POLICE are hailing the success of Operation Apache which saw 14 properties targeted in drugs raids - and they warn that more will be on the way.
Public reassurance was the main objective of Friday's day-long operation, which involved over 100 police officers, and targeted 11 properties in Stevenston followed by a further two in Saltcoats.
Sergeant Stevie Leary, who has been leading the operation, said: "This sends out a strong message to the drug dealers and lets it be known that this is not the end of our operations."
