Charlie's Bar's latest big-hearted fundraiser
PUB regulars have rallied round to raise funds in a bid to help an Ardrossan tot get a new leg.
Jessica Toner was born with proximal focal femoral deficiency, a rare, non-hereditary birth defect that affects the pelvis and particularly the hip bone which has left Jessica with a deformed hip and her left leg shortened.
In order to help raise funds for prosthetic legs for Jessica in the future, staff and customers at Charlie's Bar rallied together and took part in a variety of events and challenges.
Mum Sarah (19) explained: "I discovered there was a problem with Jessica when I went for my second scan at Crosshouse Hospital.
"It was extremely upsetting as she is my first child. I was initially told that her leg wouldn't be that much shorter but when I was referred to Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow they diagnosed her with the condition."
