MEADOW SPONSORS SET TO FOLD? Concern Among Fans Over Reports

IRVINE MEADOW'S main sponsors, Ayr-based 3D Golf PLC could be in administration by the weekend, causing major concern at the club.

And players at the Stagecoach Super League Premier Division club are understood to have met the committee on Wednesday night to discuss the crisis with some reports claiming that players have been asked to take a pay cut.

An official statement issued by the club on Wednesday night read: "It is the understanding of the committee that the club's main sponsors 3D Golf plc are likely to be in administration by this weekend. This however, is yet to be confirmed.

"The committee will be undertaking a financial recovery review with immediate effect with a view to bridging the gap in funding for the club".
