Cops crackdown on crime in community

A TEAM of intelligence-led police officers are targeting towns across North Ayrshire in a bid to crackdown on community crime.

Constables Scott McLay, Gillian Paton, Andy Rorison and Paul Hughes are funded by North Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership and - until last month - were based in Saltcoats.

Now after a successful operation in the town the problem-solving group will be sending the team off to a new town.
