THE Scottish SPCA is making a desperate plea for the owner of a cat found on the street in a pet carrier to come forward.
The animal charity received a call from the owner of Pets Market in Saltcoats after a member of the public brought the cat into the store saying they had found it outside Iceland supermarket.
Scottish SPCA ambulance driver Jean MacKay said: "We are unsure of the exact circumstances in which he was found so we are urging anyone who recognises the cat to contact us on 03000 999 999.
