IRVINE Bay Regeneration have released details of their multi-million pound masterplan for the transformation of Ardrossan's North Shore.

In a joint venture with owner Peel Holdings, Irvine Bay Regeneration Company plan an extensive expansion of Ardrossan harbour that they hope will create hundreds of new jobs and revive the local economy, as well as creating a whole new area of the town.

The £70 million project should be underway in September of this year when the first phase of a stage-by-stage decontamination of the 30 acre former Shell oil refinery site begins.
