SIX Explorer Scouts aged between 13 and 18 from Dalry, Saltcoats, Wemyss Bay and Irvine are attending the 32nd Blair Atholl Jamborette at Blair Castle in Perthshire.
The young people are from the South West Scotland Region Scout Council.
The camp, which has 793 Scouts and over 450 leaders from 18 countries taking part opened with a series of Camp Fires in each of the six sub-camps, followed by a short firework display. Countries represented include Austria, Canada, France, Denmark, Eire, England, Germany, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Iceland, Japan, Netherlands, Namibia, Northern Ireland, Norway, Russia, Singapore, Sweden and the USA.
