AN Ardrossan child has been selected from children across Ayrshire to appear on a new BBC show.

Finn Keegans (5) from St Peter's Children's Centre in Ardrossan will be appearing in an episode of new CBeebies show, Big City Park which is due to air on August, 12 at 9am. Finn and another child from the Ardrossan nursery - Mary Jane McInally - were selected by BBC representatives who had visited nurseries and auditioned around 50 children in Ayrshire.

Filming for the show took place in Glasgow Green's Adventure Park back in April, with the kids doing activities including crawling through holes for the outdoor-themed episode which forms part of the new 20-episode series.
