THE committee of the Isle of Arran branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland have appealed for more members to come forward - otherwise their future could be in doubt.

"It is becoming more difficult to maintain a committee and, of course, to maintain our fundraising activities throughout the year," the Branch's Alan Milligan told the latest edition of the Scottish Legion News.

"Worrying times indeed. Hopefully at our next AGM someone can open a new box of committee people."

The Branch are looking forward to Saturday's Brodick Highland Games and the Arran Farmer's Show on August 11 when they will be raising funds for their main supported charities.
