TV drama filmed in Ardrossan is on air

HIT new TV drama The Deep - partly filmed in Ardrossan - began its run on Tuesday evening.

As we reported, the three-parter, starring Ulster actor James Nesbitt and Minnie Driver, was partially shot in the town at the start of the year.

Additional scenes were also filmed at Irvine and in Dumbarton and Glasgow.

The Deep was filmed by Tiger Aspect Productions and tells the story of the crew of a research submarine who encounter disaster thousands of feet underwater in the Arctic Circle.
