Three men are stabbed inside Saltcoats house

THREE men are lucky to be alive this week after a gang burst into a house in Saltcoats and stabbed them, police say.

Following the horrifying incident, which took place just after 1am on Sunday morning, one victim was detained for treatment to head and back injuries while the other two men were discharged after medical attention to head wounds.

A Strathclyde Police spokesman said that, at around 1.15am on Sunday, a group of men entered a house at The Braes in the town and assaulted three men in the property. They were then taken to Crosshouse Hospital.
