'Is Saltcoats shut down?'

TOWN Centre traders hit out his week after Countess Street in Saltcoats was cut off by waterworks.

Derek Cherry, boss at the Station Restaurant, said the move by developers Irvine Bay Regeneration Company had hit business people badly.

"They'd have been as well just shutting all the shops down as everyone acted as though we were closed anyway," he said.
