Man tried to lure two kids into van

STRATHCLYDE Police are appealing for information after the driver of a Ford Transit van approached two boys, aged five and 13, in Weirston Road, Kilwinning.

The male driver attempted to entice the children into the van before they ran home and reported the incident to their parents, police said. The van drove off in the direction of Kilwinning's Irvine Road.

The incident took place at 7.10pm on Saturday, August 7. The van was described as being primarily white in colour but also blue in places.
