Glencairn get £835k new gym extension

STEVENSTON town centre is set to take on a whole new look - with an £835,000 extension being built at Glencairn Primary School and the former school building set to be demolished.

On Tuesday, North Ayrshire Council's Education Executive agreed to approve plans for a new gymnasium, changing facilities and storage space at the school and to declare the old building surplus to requirements. Along with the spare playground space to the rear - possibly to make way for a new housing development.
