TWO men were witnessed dumping a wheelie bin full of empties into church grounds in Beith.

A local man spotted the two on Wednesday morning of last week heading up Braehead, into Boghead, past Beith Bowling Club and into the Minister’s Park at Beith High Church where they reportedly dumped the contents.

It was also reported that the bin had ‘The Strand’ (the lounge of Beith’s Anderson Hotel) printed on it, and with the witness believing that the volume of bottles suggested that they had come form a commercial, rather than domestic source, it has been confirmed that the bin came from the Anderson Hotel.
