Teen's mission to Himalayas

A SALTCOATS youngster is heading off to the mountains of the Himalayas to do vital charity work.

Willie Ryan (17) will return to Nepal for his second visit to help install water supplies to a school, having secured £800 through the young person’s charity Who Cares? Scotland.

IT firm, RDF Livingston organised a charity golf event for their clients which raised £400 and was doubled to £800 by the firm’s management team.

Willie commneted: “I would really like to thank the employees and clients of RDF Group for their tremendous support. The work we will be doing involves digging trenches and laying pipes to bring fresh water to one of the villages high up in the Himalayas.”
