THE waters surrounding Arran and Irvine Bay were examined for marine wildlife this month as part of an exploration of the Firth of Clyde.

SeaStar Survey Ltd are sending a team of marine biologists to the area to confirm the presence of Scotland’s most important marine wildlife creatures.

The team will be using a drop-down camera and detailed diver observations to chart the quantity, quality and distribution of priority marine features like horse mussels, flame shell beds and fireworks anemone.
