Robbery scare

A MAN was stunned to see a would-be burglar in his home brandishing a bottle of gin, police said this week.

A 24-year-old from Saltcoats was detained pending a court appearance following an incident in a flat above the Mix Peppers restaurant in Saltcoats at 8.30pm on August 21, which has just been made public.
