CCTV catches 'firestarters'

AFTER reports of a series of deliberate fires near Auchenharvie playing fields, Strathclyde Fire & Rescue say that two youngsters have been reported to the Children's Hearing service after being caught on CCTV.
At a meeting of the Ardrossan, Arran, Saltcoats & Stevenston Area Committee, Kilwinning Station Commander Mark Gallagher explained how the fire service, police, Auchenharvie Acaademy and the Evolution Skatepark pulled their resources together after young people had apparently been bringing wheelie bins to the area only to set them on fire.
