AFTER a nine year struggle, Saltcoats Victoria Football Club are finally set to return playing at their home ground.

The local football club has been sharing a ground with rivals Ardeer Thistle since fire destroyed the council-owned changing rooms at Campbell Park in Saltcoats three years ago. Now, a £55,000 joint project to redevelop the changing facilities - involving Irvine Bay Regeneration Company and North Ayrshire Council - will see the club return home and should also be good news for local football-daft youngsters.
