RESIDENTS and staff at Seabank Care Home in Saltcoats received a bitter Christmas blow this week - after it was ruled that the recently-built facility WILL be affected by parent company the Argus Care Group going into administration.

Argus assured the community just a month ago that state-of-the-art facility Seabank had a secure future, as the financial problems leading to the auditors being brought in were affecting a separate part of their company.

These hopes were dashed last week.
