COMMUNITY services would face funding cuts of £23.3 million over the next three years if the proposed budget from North Ayrshire Council Executive is approved.

At a meeting last week David O'Neill, Leader of the Council, and Elma Murray, Chief Executive, were joined by Laura Friel, Corporate Director of Finance and Infrastructure, announced the plans which will see 167 staff positions go during 2012/13.

The local authority will concider the Labour proposal to spend about £450m in 2012/13 at a meeting today (Wednesday).
