VANESSA CAMPAIGN REACHES HALFWAY

THE FUNDRAISING campaign to send Vanessa Riddle to the USA has officially passed the halfway mark - just four weeks in.
The generous people of Ayrshire and the rest of the country have thrown so much support behind the youngster - who has a rare form of cancer which requires expensive treatment abroad - and her family that as we went to press on
Wednesday the online total on Vanessa's JustGiving page was close to £270,000.
Eleven-year-old Vanessa's mum Connie is an administrator at Todhill Country Centre on the outskirts of Stevenston and the staff and residents there have rallied round as battles a condition known as neuroblastoma.
