NAC boss pledges support
NORTH Ayrshire"s top civil servant this week pledged the local authority"s support for those suffering the full effects of the current economic downturn.
Chief Executive Ian Snodgrass vowed that the council would be very much in the frontline when it came to dealing the effects of the recession.
The outgoing CE, who retires soon, told Tuesday"s meeting of the North Ayrshire Council Executive: 'It is clear that the council"s leadership role will give it a central position in helping local businesses and people through these difficult economic times and in the longer term, in rebuilding the economy.'
