TWO cygnets were saved by Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue after they became tangled in a fishing line at Ardeer Rec.
When the rescuers arrived they could see that the birds were stuck in the same clump of fishing line and floats so when one of them swam the other was dragged along behind it.
Gay Christie co-owner of Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre near Beith said,: "They must have been tangled for some time judging by the amount of weed that had gathered."
