What skate news for Rosie

A TALENTED 15-year-old will be skating off to California next year after she beat off stiff competition at a recent in-line skating qualifier.

Rosie O'Donoghue, of Ardrossan, wowed the judges at the only UK qualifier for the World In-line Skating Championships and walked away a winner after out performing hundreds of other entrants.

Delighted Rosie told the Herald: "I'm very excited about going to America next year. The competition was very tough and I didn't expect to win so when I found out I had won it was a shock."
