STREET signs within a new housing development in Saltcoats have been vandalised by youths and residents fear lives could be put at risk.

Concerned homeowners contacted us this week after letters on street signs were picked off by youths over the last few weeks. The residents say there could be major problem if emergency services had to be called as one sign only has two Es.

"To quote a U2 song - the streets have no names," one concerned resident said.
