Customs House work is due to begin next week

THE ongoing transformation of Ardrossan's harbourside and town centre area continues with the news that demolition work is due to begin on the former Customs House building on March 11.

The former harbour building - which has lain empty and in a poor condition for many years - will be replaced by a new structure but with the facade of the Customs House, which is a listed building, dismantled and rebuilt as a frontage.
