THREE Towners are being warned to check their bank statements after card cloning equipment was discovered on two Saltcoats cash machines.

Police issued the alert after devices which record pin numbers and card details were discovered on machines in Chapelwell Street.

CID officer DC David Scobie said: "It's possible that hundreds of bank customers could be affected.
