STRUGGLING Kilbirnie Ladeside are looking for a new manager after Billy "Budgie" McGhie quit.
The former Clydebank boss resigned after 15 months in charge following Saturday's 2-0 defeat away to Irvine Meadow.
Ladeside are joint second bottom of the Premiership.
Club secretary Gordon Ronney said: "Billy resigned after the game along with the rest of his backroom team and the committee accepted his decision.
"He felt he had taken the club as far as he could. We thanked him for his service. Results have not been good."
Ronney added: "We are drawing up a shortlist of candidates but have not spoken to anyone. Our aim is to make sure we stay in the division."
Meanwhile the club have brought in former coach Robert Scott to take temporary charge.
Added the secretary: "We have no game until a week on Saturday and it is hoped we will have someone by then but we will wait and see."
Recently-appointed Ardeer Thistle boss Blair Gilmour remains upbeat despite the 4-2 defeat away to Forth Wanderers.
Gilmour, in his second game in charge said: "We were unlucky as they only scored their third goal with four minutes to go and got another late one, I can take positives from the way we played."
