Junior teams getting a £1,000 winter costs payment

GENEROUS SJFA bosses have dug deep to help cash-stricken clubs as a result of the weather-enforced winter shutdown.

Sportscene understand that the Scottish Junior Football Association are giving each of their 160 member clubs £1000 from their reserves to help ease their financial worries caused by six weeks without action.
