Clydesdale Bank SPL KILMARNOCK 1 ST MIRREN 1
ONE of Jimmy Calderwood's former top protege's came back to haunt him as Billy Mehmet's wonder-goal seized a point for the Buddies after another of his highly rated prospects, Chris Maguire had set Killie on course for a fifth win on the spin.
This was a bad day at the office after such a hugely impressive run but the fact is Killie's unbeaten run was extended to seven games albeit they are now just six points clear of basement side Falkirk following their shock win against Aberdeen. And if they can plunder a point after playing so badly that surely says much about this team's character.
