SHATTERED Killie boss Jimmy Calderwood admitted his team would have to improve on their poor display against Hamilton to get out of the relegation mire and is urging them to step up to the plate against Celtic at Parkhead on Saturday.
He said: "It was a very disappointing 65 minutes as we picked up a bit nearer the end. Although we had lost four on the bounce we could take a lot of positives from the previous games. We did OK for the first 15 minutes but huffed and puffed a lot after that.
"Hamilton played very well. But we are the only ones who can get ourselves out of this and will have to play better than that. It was a double whammy for us with St Mirren beating Celtic (to go above Killie). But Tony (Mowbray) will be hurting as much as I am and both teams will be trying to restore some confidence and pride on Saturday."
