Thomson's men promoted without kicking a ball

KILWINNING RANGERS were dramatically promoted back to the Super First Division on Wednesday night without even being in action.

On a night of high drama Buffs, who had already finished, edged out Lugar Boswell Thistle by two goals after they could only beat Craigmark Burntonians.

But Ardrossan Winton Rovers, who had been hoping to overhaul Buffs with a three-goal victory suffered a shock 1-0 home defeat against understrength Kello Rover, just missing out for the second year running.
