CLINICAL Kevin Kyle bagged a glorious first senior hat-trick as Killie swept them aside the Bairsn with a virtuoso performance which put them six points clear of the basement team.

Pumped-up home boss Jim Jefferies had laid it on the line to his players that this was like a World Cup final for them while his assistant Billy Brown insisted it was the duo's biggest game since taking the Rugby Park reins in 2002,

So perhaps it was apt that the France 1998 World Cup theme blared out over the PA as the teams bounded on to the pitch.
