Clydesdale Bank SPL: KILMARNOCK 0 HEARTS 1

A GLORIOUS six-game league unbeaten run came to a disappointing end at Rugby Park on Tuesday night with ironically boss Jim Jefferies returning to haunt Killie in his first game back at Rugby Park since quitting a year ago.

However a huge boost was delivered before the match as top-scoring striker Conor Sammon, confirmed he had rejected a move to Championship strugglers Scunthorpe.

Boss Mixu Paatelainen said afterwards: "Conor says he is happy at Kilmarnock and feels there is more development to come. He is a goalscorer and we are delighted to keep him but there may be (other) offers and if there are we will have to consider them,"

On the game he said: "I thought we were very unfortunate to come out of it with nothing to show for our efforts. One or two of our players started chasing the game and lost their patience and if you do that you will be punished."
