Friendly Match KILMARNOCK 1 PRESTON NORTH END 1

MIDFIELD maestro James Dayton lit up Rugby Park with a opening minute wonder strike as Kilmarnock ended their pre-season warmup unbeaten after an entertaining clash with a visiting side who were relegated from the Championship last season.

Kenny Shiels' team epitomised the passing philosophy the coach so strongly believes in and they adopted a high tempo for much of the first half although after the interval the game petered out, mainly because the hosts made so many changes as they determine their strongest line-up ahead of the new season.
